CTlab Symposium: Wired for War, additional readings
With our symposium for Peter Singer's fascinating new book, Wired for War: The Robotics Revolution and Conflict in the 21st Century about to kick off Monday morning, I wanted to take the opportunity to post some additional readings, links, and food for thought.
Peter Singer himself has published two magazine articles on the subject of his book, and his Wired for War website has additional video, a playlist, and discussion questions.
Our good friends over at Wired's Danger Room have covered the issue extensively, the Financial Times recently published a review of several books in the field including Wired For War, and the New York Times just featured an item on robotics and bombing. Mother Jones talked to Peter Singer in February. Some of our symposium participants have written and debated the issue, too. Check out the list of feferences below for background reading. There's a lot more out there on the webs, and we'll add links here as we come across them.
